Door Holders

Psalm 84:10

When it comes to serving God and people, we want to leave obligation in the dust. We were lost and dead when the love of God came and found us. Now we are alive and free. So we don’t serve because we have to or even because we can.

We serve because we may.

That We May

We want to exceed expectations, serving in the power of God’s spirit and with the joy that He gives. We are followers of Jesus, therefore our desire to serve is big and no role is too small. Serving in His House is not a pain, it’s a privilege. We bring our best. We are proactive, and we take initiative. Because Jesus brings change, we embrace flexibility.

Serving is not optional for Jesus people. Serving is the Jesus way.

Where Can I Serve?

bloom

Care for children ages 6 weeks through pre-k while showing them how much Jesus loves them - whether on our Host Team or in an age-specific room. Our bloom environment allows for parents to be fully present in a gathering knowing their child is in a safe and loving environment.

Connect Groups

Connect Groups are weekly or biweekly gatherings of people from our House for the purpose of discussing Scripture, Sunday Talks, or books. Leading a group is primarily about facilitating conversation and hosting a space.

Creative

Join us in telling the story, in a creative way, of how Jesus is working in and through our House. There are lots of different ways this is done - through our environments, photography, social media, and more.

Experience

Create a welcoming environment for all guests to enter in by greeting, serving, and connecting with everyone who comes through the doors each week.

Hospitality

Creating an excellent and welcoming experience as we host our guests, our Door Holders, and our Passion City Church Team. Hospitality sets the table and serves many rooms of our House on Sundays and various days of the week.

Local Engagement

This Team serves to connect our House with the city, and the city with the heartbeat of Jesus. This happens all throughout the year with various projects and interactions with our partners.

Medic

Trained medical professionals who can handle medical incidents or emergencies that occur within each of our locations. Providing care to our guests and our Team as needed.

Parking

Eagerly and happily engage with guests as the first point of contact for Passion City Church, as well as the last goodbye as they depart. Help provide direction in the parking lot and manage the flow of traffic.

Passion Kids

Lead our Kindergarten to 5th grade kids to Jesus through weekly teachings, music, large group games, and small group discussions. You can also serve on the Host Team for Passion Kids - this allows you the space to interact with the whole family and welcome them as they get settled into our space.

Production

Responsible for lighting, audio, and video production for each gathering, not only on Sundays, but also during the week. We help to create a unique worship experience for guests, both in the room and those joining us online. *Previous production experience recommended.

Security

The physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of our guests is extremely important to us. Help provide a safe and distraction-free environment for all guests, Door Holders, and Team.

Students

Invest in the next generation with us as we meet for worship, teaching, games, and more. There is an additional application process for this team and may be sent along after your initial DH application is received.

Worship

Uses music to help create a worshipful environment where we can shift our focus to God and lift up the name of Jesus. There is an additional application process for this team and may be sent along after your initial DH application is received.

Young Adults

Walk alongside the 18-25-year-olds of our city. We gather together during the week in large and small group settings.

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper [door holder] in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. - Psalm 84:10
