SERVE

Our faith and our action have the potential to change the world. We have incredible partners through our cities that we love to come alongside and support, living out our calling to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Below you’ll find our current opportunities to serve for Atlanta and Washington D.C.

ATLANTA OPPORTUNITIES

Our House wants to ensure those on the frontlines in our city feel seen, loved, valued and cared for during this unique and stressful time. We are linking arms with local restaurants and organizations across Metro Atlanta to serve those on the frontlines of COVID-19 — our healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers.

Through our strategic partnerships we are serving meals for a little as $8 a meal and bringing treat baskets for a full hospital unit for a little as $60!

Our partner, Sewing Masks for Area Hospitals, has a zero-contact system to empower home “sewists” to create cloth surgical masks to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the medical professionals on the front lines fighting COVID-19.

  • Biggest Need(s): Mask Makers, Runners
  • Opportunities to Serve:

Sewists (Mask Making): Volunteers are needed to follow the medical guidelines of cloth mask making. This is an opportunity to serve within your own home and on a flexible time schedule. While the masks are not a complicated sewing project, some experience/equipment is required.

Runners: Volunteers are needed to transport supplies and finished masks. While this will require you to leave your home, it will require little to no contact with others. CDC and local guidelines for social distancing will be adhered to strictly. Delivery time slots are estimated to take around an hour. Further information on pick up times and locations to be provided.

Our 515 location has become a mobile food pantry, equipped to provide groceries to households of Atlanta.

Location: 515 Garson Drive, Atlanta GA 30324

Our House has partnered with LifeSouth to provide a space at our 515 location for safe blood donation to be used right here in our local communities! Donating blood products is essential to community health, especially during this uncertain time of COVID-19 when hospitals and medical practices are nearing patient capacity. 1 pint of blood = 3 lives in our city saved!

Our House wants to come around frontline workers and their families in prayer as shifts change and workdays begin and end for a 15-minute Zoom Call. Join us as we encourage, pray for, and come alongside those fighting COVID-19 on the frontlines. We invite you to share the link below with your friends, family, or neighbors working on the frontlines of COVID-19.

Supply ATL is a donation campaign dedicated to providing families in the city with daily essentials and supplies that have been largely overlooked in the COVID-19 crisis. We want to equip our numerous city-wide partners with items to distribute to people in need.
Let’s fill the pantries of Atlanta Families together!

Our partner, MUST Ministries, helps homeless and struggling individuals and families with food, clothing, housing, employment, and other resources. Join us in helping MUST Ministries combat food insecurity, and meeting the need to ensure that every student in Cobb County Schools has access to food during school cancellations.

Food Distribution Volunteers: Volunteers are needed weekly on Mondays to help distribute meal kits to families experiencing food insecurity across 8 central locations. Each shift will be from 10:30a – 1:00p.
